Where Has the Time Gone?

Well, it has been almost a month since my last post and saying a lot has happened in that time is a bit of an under and overstatement at the same time. I am currently sitting in my sister-in-law's house waiting around for nothing to happen. I guess the best thing to do is recap what has happened in the past month's time.

As I mentioned in my last post, my grandfather was in the hospital and very sick. Unfortunately, he never made the trip home and passed away. It was a very trying time for my family as he was kind of the binding force for his children, which includes my mother. To make matters worse, my grandmother seems to be showing signs of dementia and will not listen to anybody concerning her future care. As this is going on, Betina and I decided that we had waited around long enough and went ahead and moved out of the house. I quit my job and we headed up to North Carolina to spend some time with her mother. After a couple days, we made the trip across Tennessee and arrived in Memphis about a week and half ago. Betina's sister and her husband have been very gracious and allowed to stay as long as we need to before our flight.

Speaking of the flight, there has been no word as of yet on when we will be leaving. It has been one frustrating day after an other with no answers. Betina has decided to stay off of the Facebook page as a good majority of the other teachers have made the trip over and it makes her, as well as me, very anxious. All we can really do at this point is continue to be patient and keep in mind that they want to get her over there as bad as we want to go, as the school year has already begun and they have a classroom with no teacher. We will have to keep our fingers crossed.

I will try to be sure to update this a bit more often and keep everyone in the loop. Hopefully the next post will be about Betina getting her ticket and full of excitement, like this:
