Winding Down

As the time goes by slowly these last weeks before we move, the same question keeps coming to the front of my mind more frequently: Am I really moving to the other side of the world? Obviously the answer is yes, but it's in those moments when I'm able to step back and really look at what's going on. I'm getting rid of all my stuff except for my clothes and hopping a plane to live a country that I've only ever seen in pictures. It's a scary proposition, but as long as I have Betina and Aurelia, I'm sure I'll be just fine.

Mine and Aurelia's passports came in the mail today so that is a big stress out of the way. All we need now are some additional documents to be authenticated, which Betina sent out in the mail today to the UAE embassy. Little by little we are getting everything squared away.

In other news, the World Cup has come to an end. At least it has for me, as Mexico and the US have been knocked out. Truly a sad time for me, but Betina is still pumped for Germany, who is still going strong. They will be playing soon to try and make it to the final. As a loving husband I feel it is my duty to at least support Betina's team a little bit. If I have to. Maybe.
